Payment Policy
Orders totaling less than $100 must be paid for in full to book a date. Orders totaling more than $100, can reserve a date with a 50% deposit.

Any remaining balance will be due 24 hours prior to the pickup date. Failure to pay your remaining balance prior to pick up may result in immediate order cancellation or withholding of product until payment is received.

Your initial payment must be submitted within 48 hours after receiving a quote or your requested date will be awarded to the next paying customer.

Shipping orders must be paid for in full to book a date.

Rush orders (booking less than 14 days from your event date) may be subjected to a $25 rush fee.

Dates are NOT reserved without a prepayment. Your order gets placed on the calendar only when a payment has been received.
 
Pick Up Policy
Nice To Be Iced Cookies is not a storefront. We are a home residence located in the suburb of Forest Hills (Pittsburgh, 15221). The pickup time and location will be finalized the week of pick up. Should something arise that prevents you from picking up at the agreed upon time, please let us know asap, so other arrangements can be made. No refunds will be issued for orders that are not picked up at the agreed upon time.
 
Delivery
Delivery is available upon request and pending availability. Cost will vary depending on location.

Damage after Pickup
Nice To Be Iced Cookies is not responsible for any broken or damaged cookies after they have left our possession. When transporting the cookies, please clear a flat surface in your vehicle to set the box(es) on. Cookies are fragile and it is important to handle them with care.
 
Refund & Cancellation Policy

Cancellations

You will have 2 days, from initial date of payment, to cancel your order and receive a full refund of monies paid. If you need to cancel after 2 days, any money paid can be used as a credit towards a future order or rescheduled date (pending availability). Credits must be used within 6 months of cancellation, or the credit will expire.

Refunds

If we’ve made a mistake, we will do our absolute best to make it right. We will discuss with you the best possible solution. At our discretion, a partial refund or a complimentary order of cookies for a future date may be awarded. Full refunds will not be provided for cookies that are eaten or used. Should an emergency or unexpected illness occur on the part of Nice To Be Iced Cookies, in which your order cannot be completed, your payment will be refunded in full.

 
Shipping
Shipping is available within the United States using USPS flat rate priority shipping, which typically arrives within 1-3 days after your order has been made.

Shipped orders are still subject to calendar availability. Shipping rates for one to two dozen start at $15.00.

Please be aware that there is a risk to having your cookies shipped through the mail. The post office does not guarantee delivery date or insure against breakage. Though the possibility is slim, the box could arrive late, cookies may break, or the box could be lost in transit. Nice To Be Iced Cookies will not be responsible for lost, late or stolen packages. Please keep the possibility of breakage into consideration when deciding how many cookies to order.

Changing an Order
Changes to an order depend on the ability and time available to make the changes. No changes will be accommodated within the 72-hour window prior to pick up.

Color Matching
All of the colors that make up a cookie design are individually mixed by hand. The icing starts out as plain white, then gel colors are mixed in by “eyeballing” the picture reference or color swatch. There will be slight color variations. We cannot guarantee a perfect match to your color swatch, but we will do our best to come very close!

Designs
There is a maximum of 6 designs allowed per order, except for cookies priced in the “Basic” tier level (1 design allowed only). You can inform your cookie artist of a few design “must-haves”, but allowing the artist to have creative freedom over the designs provides a much better outcome. Sometimes your cookie artist will add extra designs free of charge if it benefits the overall look and aesthetic of the theme. Picture references are encouraged for inspiration only. Nice To Be Iced Cookies will not copy another baker’s work, without their permission, under any circumstance.

Allergy Warning
All cookies are made in a home-based kitchen. Though we follow all guidelines for avoiding cross-contamination, we cannot ensure that your order will not come into contact with common kitchen allergens which may include but are not limited to: eggs, nuts, soy, peanuts, milk, wheat, fish, and/or shellfish.

The ingredients in our lemon vanilla cookies are All Purpose Flour, Butter, Sugar, Lemons, Egg, Vanilla, & Salt. The ingredients in our royal icing are Water, Powdered Sugar, Lemon, Vanilla, and one or more of the following U.S. certified colors: Red 40, Red 3, Yellow 5, Blue 1, Yellow 6, and Blue 2 and/or titanium dioxide, modified corn starch, vegetable gum, citric acid, and less 1/10 of one percent sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (as preservatives).

 You are responsible for informing the consumer of any allergens.
